Contactless switching washroom / toilet sign - Microwave or Microswitch SENSOR

An innovative sign that shows whether the washroom facilities are vacant or engaged.  This smart room sign will illuminate red when the room is in use, or green when unoccupied. 

This fantastic, touch free solution is a great addition to any facility and allows people to instantly see whether the washroom is free to use or not. Made from clear acrylic, the icon illuminates brightly in the centre of the sign and can be viewed from both sides. 

The visual indicator can assist in keeping your premises safe and socially distanced by avoiding any gathering or queuing if the red light is on. 

With a variety of design options to choose from, the overall size of the sign is 150mm high x 203mm wide.

Microwave Proximity Sensor option :

This option would be supplied with a micro-wave proximity sensor that will sense movement through the door and switch illumination of the sign from Green (Vacant) to Red (Engaged)

The microwave sensor can be adjusted with a "time delay" controlling the switching from green to red and back to green. Also it is easy to adjust the sensitivity of the triggering so that it can be adjusted for different locations and different rooms. This proximity sensor is triggered with movement and not body heat, this is a more reliable sensor for this type of application for room signs.

Door Latch Sensor option :

This option is supplied with a door latch with an inbuilt micro-switch.  As the catch is operated the illumination will switch from Green (Vacant) to Red (Engaged), this is a more cost effective solution but will involve changing the lock mechanism of the door

This room sign will aid social distancing and can be used in public spaces, offices, pubs and restaurants. This will allow people the choice of not having to queue as this highly visible sign can be seen from the length of a typical room.

This FLAG washroom sign kit includes the washroom sign, the washroom sign brushed finish steel bracket and the choice of either the microwave sensor switch or the microswitch catch. The electrical relay in both cases is also included. 

Please note: This product will only work with 240V due to the relays that are used.  If you are outside of the UK (USA, Canada, etc) this product may not be appropriate. A Relay Din enclosure is not provided in this system.
